Congresswoman Gluesenkamp Perez Visits Rochester High School!
On Wednesday, we were honored to welcome Representative Marie Gluesenkamp Perez to Rochester High School. She toured our CTE (Career & Technical Education) classes, met with students and staff, and saw firsthand the hands-on learning happening at RHS. We appreciate her taking the time to connect with our school community and support the future of workforce education!
Sweet Sounds and Sweet Treats at RMS!
Thursday night’s RMS Band Concert began with a tasty Ice Cream Social and continued with incredible performances from all our band groups. The gym was packed with families and community members who came out to support our talented students. In honor of the concert theme, most bands played an ice cream-themed piece. The jazz band performed Orange Sherbert, the beginning band played Hot Fudge Sundae, and the concert band sounded great by playing Peppermint Twist. It was a fun, creative evening of music and community. Great job to all our student musicians!
Our Highly Capable Family Night was a huge success!
Families enjoyed dinner together before taking on a variety of exciting Escape Rooms designed to challenge their thinking . It was a fun and engaging evening filled with problem-solving, laughter, and connection. Thank you to everyone who joined us!
Rochester Track & Field is representing at State!
A huge shoutout to our incredible athletes competing at the state meet in Yakima! We’ve already seen some amazing performances, and there’s more to come!
Brooklyn Alfonso, Gunnar Morgan, and Dominic Delgado gave it their all—we are so proud of your effort and determination!
Merecedies Dupont placed 5th in the state for the 100M and is still set to compete in the 200M—way to go, Merecedies!
Kailyn Black placed 15th in the 100M hurdles, and our 4x200M relay team (Kailyn Black, Kenna Pratt, Jordyn Johnson, and Merecedies Dupont) took 12th—with the 4x100M relay still ahead!
Keep it up, Warriors—your hard work, heart, and hustle are making Rochester proud!

Congratulations to Morgan Summers! She’s headed to the Washington High School Equestrian Team State Finals in Moses Lake from May 17–19, proudly representing Rochester! Good luck to our Lady Warrior golfers as they compete in the League Championships this Thursday, May 8 at Tumwater Valley Golf Course! This all-day, 18-hole tournament kicks off at 9:00 AM, and some of our athletes are aiming to qualify for Districts — let’s cheer them on!
League Champs! Our Lady Warriors softball team clinched the 1A Evergreen League title in a nailbiter against Elma! The girls pulled off a hard-fought 12–8 victory in extra innings to take the crown. Way to go, Warriors!

Warrior Boys Soccer Victory!
Our boys' varsity soccer team played a hard-fought match against Montesano and came away with a big 1-0 win, avenging the loss from earlier this season! Aiden Villanueva scored the game-winning goal, assisted by Justin Gochez—way to go, Warriors!
The JV team also brought home a win, defeating Montesano 2-1 with both goals scored by Rylan Calica.
