Rochester High School Boys Golf team wrapped up their 2025 season this week at the District Tournament at Tumwater Valley Golf Club, and what a finish!!!
Clayton Knutson and Cash Edminster advanced to Day 2 among 70 golfers from 13 schools, representing Rochester with pride. Cash finished in the top half of the field after making the Day 2 cut for the first time in his senior season, a great milestone!
Clayton, a freshman, followed his Day 1 score of 89 with a season-best 85, earning a spot in a one-hole playoff for the final berth to State. With the crowd watching, he drained a 15-foot putt to clinch his place at STATE this spring! Congratulations Clayton!!

The Rochester boys golf team competed in Day 1 of the 1A District Tournament at Tumwater Valley yesterday. It was a great day for golf with 70 athletes from 13 schools competing for a spot in the top 35 to advance to Day 2. We are excited to share that Clayton Knutson (89) and Cash Edminster (90) both qualified for Day 2! They are in great position to make a run at the top 14 for a state bid. A special acknowledgement to Boden Grimm and Darin Ware who had fantastic rounds, both shooting a 93 and missing the cut off by only one stroke. With big progress from Wesley Dahl and several promising underclassmen, the future is incredibly bright for Rochester Golf. Good luck to Clayton and Cash on the course today!

Warrior Staff and Students Show Their Love!
What an incredible outpouring of support for Hunter, one of our second-grade students who is recovering from a major medical procedure this summer.
Our students, coordinated by Mrs. Benner, created a mountain of thoughtful cards, notes, and pictures for Hunter during library time. Our principals were able to deliver all of the well wishes, including a special "We Miss You!" poster.
Hunter's mom shared that he "loved it!" and they are looking forward to reading all the cards. This is the Rochester Primary School community at its finest—caring, supportive, and showing what it means to be a family.

Last week, RPS had their first themed recess celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month! RPS students enjoyed dancing to music in Español, playing bean bag toss while counting in Spanish, completing an Encanto scavenger hunt, and coloring beautiful papel picado. During conferences next week, families will be able to see the papel picado proudly displayed in the hallways of RPS.
