Request for Qualifications - RSD Water System Replacement Project

Rochester School District extends an invitation to qualified General Contractors to submit statements of qualification for the position of General Contractor/Construction Manager of the construction project herein after identified as ROCHESTER SCHOOL DISTRICT WATER SYSTEM REPLACEMENT PROJECT

Project Scope:   The Rochester School District Water System Replacement Project will replace the existing water system that serves Rochester High School, Grand Mound Elementary School, Rochester Primary School and the District’s Maintenance Facility. The existing water system is 40 years old, consisting of a 78,000-gallon square in ground water reservoir and 4 above ground concrete calcite tanks.

The scope of the new water system is the construction of an approximately 360,000-gallon water tank for fire protection and 30,000-gallon tank for domestic water, a pump house with water treatment apparatus, controls, and a backup generator, new separate water lines to each building, and replacement of valves at the water supply and fire loops serving the buildings.

A mandatory pre-submittal meeting will be held at 10:00am on June 10, 2026 starting at the RSD District Office, 10140 Hwy 12 SW, Rochester, WA and progressing to the project site at 19800 Carper Rd SW, Rochester, WA 98589

SUBMITTAL TIME/DATE/LOCATION: Thursday, June 4, 2026 at 2:00 pm, at Rochester School District Board Room, 10140 Highway 12 SW, Rochester, WA 98579. Public Bid Opening will commence at approximately 2:05pm at the same location. Bids Should be clearly labeled Bid No. 2026-01.

PRE-BID WALK-THROUGH: Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 10:00am at Rochester Middle School.

SUMMARY OF PROJECTS:

Base Bid: Rochester Middle School, 9937 Hwy. 12 SW, Rochester WA 98579: Demolition of existing roofing, underlayment and existing flashings. Installation of self adhering ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment and Malarkey Legacy asphalt shingles, 24-gauge pre-finished eave, rake, valley, step flashing and roof to wall flashings, new lead pipe boots at all plumbing vents, new ridge vent.

Alternate Bid No. 1: Rochester Primary School, 7440 James Rd. SW, Rochester WA 98579: Demolition of existing roofing, underlayment and existing flashings. Installation of self adhering ice and water shield, synthetic underlayment and Malarkey Legacy asphalt shingles, 24-gauge pre-finished eave, rake, valley, step flashing and roof to wall flashings, new lead pipe boots at all plumbing vents, new ridge vent.
