Capital Levy

The capital levy that was on the April 28 ballot to replace our aging school water system passed. Thank you, voters!!

The system currently provides drinking water, restrooms, and sanitation services, as well as water for fire protection, across all school buildings.

If the system were to fail, RPS, GMES, and RHS, would not be able to operate.

The new water system will create a new, reliable water system, ensuring adequate water for firefighting, reduced emergency repairs and maintenance costs, and support long-term stability for the district.

The levy is estimated to cost property owners $1 per $1,000 of assessed value and would be collected over two years, in 2027 and 2028. Community members can learn more at our website - Capital Levy | Rochester School District.

Thank you voters for support our students!
