Rochester Students Take Top Honors at Regional Robotics and Drone Competition
Rochester High School hosted the Regional Robotics and Drone Competition on Saturday, January 10, 2026, welcoming 50 student competitors from six schools and the largest crowd of spectators the event has seen to date.
Rochester students delivered an outstanding performance, demonstrating the very skills outlined in the district’s Strategic Plan and Portrait of a Graduate: critical thinking, problem solving, collaboration, perseverance, and real-world application of learning.

These competitions reflect the district’s commitment to ensuring students graduate with confidence, strong technical skills, and the ability to apply learning in authentic, challenging environments.
The first place teams are guranteed to compete in the state competiion. We will soon learn which additional teams will qualify to advance to the state competition.
