GMES Principal Dan Aragon

Grand Mound Elementary School Welcomes New Principal, Mr. Dan Aragon

During the March 26 board meeting, the Rochester School Board approved the hiring of the next principal of Grand Mound Elementary School. We are pleased to announce that Mr. Dan Aragon has been selected for the position and will officially begin his role on July 1, 2025.

Mr. Aragon brings over 20 years of experience in education, including work as a principal, assistant principal, special education teacher, and school social worker. He comes to us from Salt Lake City, Utah, and comes highly recommended for his leadership, student-centered approach, and strong background in both instructional practices and student support services.

“This was an extremely competitive process. I want to thank our staff for their input and involvement in the hiring process, and the parents who attended the community forum,” said Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Bethman. “Mr. Aragon’s deep commitment to student success, his experience in instructional leadership, and his strong background in social work and special education made him an outstanding choice. We’re excited about the future of Grand Mound Elementary School under his leadership.”

Mr. Aragon and his wife are looking forward to joining the Rochester community.

Welcome to Rochester, Mr. Aragon!
