Volunteer HandbookIn order to protect students, each year school volunteers are required to pass a Washington State Volunteer Background Check. Background check forms are available in each school office or can be downloaded here. To ensure ample time for processing, please turn in your completed form at least 5 school days prior to the volunteer activity.
The chart below outlines common activities parents participate in and indicates whether or not a background check is required. Background checks are NOT required for visitor activities.

Shadowing Your Child (attending class, recess, etc.)
Parent Conferences and Meetings
Any Task/Activity Without Direct Supervision from a School Employee
Picking up or dropping of homework, forms, lunch, etc.
