Rochester Primary School's Special Education program provides a continuum of services to students depending on the disabilities and needs of individual children. Services range from full-time, self-contained special education to minimal provision of special education therapies either within the classroom or in a private therapy setting.
Our Special Education Department houses two full-time special education teachers, a school psychologist, occupational and speech therapists, and a part-time physical therapist. In addition, we have several paraprofessional education assistants who help provide the necessary support for each student's unique needs.
It is our educational responsibility to find and provide services to all children with disabilities in our area. If you know of a child with a suspected disability, please have the parents contact us (360-273-5161 or contact us by e-mail) to set up an appointment to meet with our special education staff.
