Special Extended Day Kindergarten
The SEDK class is designed to provide an extended
kindergarten experience for children with special needs. The children must
possess a current IEP (Individual Education Plan) to participate in the class. If you are moving
into the district and your child possesses an I.E.P. please bring it at the time you register for
kindergarten. This speeds ups the whole process.
We encourage you to have your child practice at home the skills being taught at school. Working on number and letter recognition, writing his/her name, counting, and 1-to-1 correspondence at home can help solidify what they are learning at school.
We maintain a low pupil/staff ratio; approximately 4 students per staff member. It is our goal to develop your child's cognitive, language, motor, and social skills to promote success in the school and home settings.
Our program is four days per week (Monday-Thursday).
If you have any questions, please feel free to call 273-5161. Your input is valued! Thank you for the opportunity to work with your child.
