About The Coaches
Coach Steve Watson has 23 years experience coaching both boys and girls from middle school to the junior college level. He coaches in order to build memories. Good work through teamwork, metal toughness, and building respect for self, family, school, and community are expectations. It takes more than starters to make a team. Participating in athletics provides the chance to grow as an individual. Learning teamwork is a valuable experience for other areas of life. Each player will have the opportunity to grow and play his special role during games. Character is built by accepting a position on the team, as either a starter of role player.
Coach Andrew Kernutt brings 8 years of experience coaching boys basketball at both middle school and high school level. He believes it is the coach’s responsibility to teach his players teamwork which encompasses respect for self, team members, family, school, and community, as well as teaching physical and mental toughness. Each player has a specific role to play as part of the team. Whether that role is as a starter or a player coming off of the bench, each player will have an opportunity to contribute to the team as an individual and team member. A team consists of more then just five players; it takes an entire team to become a Champion.
The coaching staff is looking forward to a great season. We hope that the community is able to attend some games and show your support.
